Violence

Violence has a greater effect
Compassion leaves a memory
Violence leaves a scar

Violence is permanent,
Like a thick bloody glue
Compassion is temporary,
Like the sand dunes of a desert

After every war,
There is peace
But violence always returns

Violence has a greater impact on society
As it is permeant
And there is no escape from it
With compassion though,
It fades away over time
Like the dunes of a desert
Violence is a fort
It is strong and lasts long
And even after it is abandoned
It is always returned to

Compassion is more of a house
It can envelope you in
Warmth and comfort
But it always decays
Eventually
